Carrie The Musical

Electric City Playhouse, 2024
Directed by Josh Pruiett

This is a musical adaptation of the beloved Stephen King story. I played Sue Snell, the girl who regretted making fun of Carrie when she got her first period and then attempted to make things right by getting her dreamy boyfriend to take Carrie to the prom. To say her plan went terribly wrong would be the understatement of the century.

In this adaptation, Sue serves as our traumatized narrator who brings the audience along for a spin as she relives the nightmarish prom on an endless loop. I absolutely loved singing the score, and snapping in and out of emotional extremes on a dime as Sue switched between past and present.

In addition to acting, I made much of the artwork for this production. Most notably, I created Carrie’s crucifix prop and the prom poster set dressing.
